We are pleased to announce that the latest version of X-Ways Forensics is now available.
The developers have dedicated significant time to fixing bugs and improving both the interface and functionality of X-Ways Forensics.
Key Enhancements Include:
Event Timestamp Filters: Event timestamp filters and the general timestamp filter are now completely independent of each other.
Support for Composite/Segmented Archives: Support for composite/segmented Zip and 7z archives has been added.
MD5 Hash Calculation: Ability to calculate and store 64-bit MD5 hash values (a “reduced” version), which provides a compromise between CRC32 (32-bit) and full MD5 hashes (128-bit), to bridge the gap between them and save memory or disk space, e.g., for deduplication purposes.
EDRM MIH Hash Calculation: Capability to calculate EDRM MIH hash values for extracted email messages and original .eml and .emlx files (if they contain full headers), for finding emails with known MIH values, database matching, or deduplication purposes.
JUMBF Metadata Blocks: Detail mode now indicates the presence of JUMBF metadata blocks in JPEG files.
