On February 18–19, a two-day seminar titled “Cyberattacks as Elements of the Crime of Aggression and Attribution Issues” was held as part of the CyberUA project of the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Key topics discussed during the event included:
◍ Principles and practices of international law regarding the crime of aggression
◍ Methods and tools for cyberattack and cybercrime attribution
◍ The role of cyberattacks and cybercrime in the crime of aggression, and Ukraine’s legal framework
◍ Techniques for working with digital evidence and attribution methodologies
During the seminar, Sergii Denysenko gave a lecture on cyberattack attribution methods and tools, the digital evidence lifecycle, and the specifics of conducting forensic computer-technical examinations.
CyberLab firmly believes that such seminars help enhance the knowledge and skills needed to improve the handling of electronic evidence in criminal proceedings related to war crimes against Ukraine.
