Since 2014, more than 300 incidents related to tampering with notaries’ computers and making illegal changes to the State Registers of the Ministry of Justice have been recorded. The total value of the property, which thus changed owners, exceeds 10 billion UAH.
As a rule, in most cases, notaries were suspected of entering knowingly false information into the registers, which was instigated by the statements of the first persons of the state about the guilt of “black notaries”.
Evidence of tampering with computers and theft of access keys, gathered as part of Cyberlab examinations, made it possible to remove suspicion from notaries and change their procedural status from “suspect” to “victim”.
