On July 18, 2024, the formal closing ceremony of the reintegration program “Cyber Defenders” took place.
This program was organized by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center (NCSCC) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, and CRDF Global in Ukraine, with support from the U.S. Department of State. “Cyber Defenders” is a professional development and reintegration program in the field of cybersecurity for veterans.
The closing of this year’s program was marked by a CTF (Capture the Flag) competition, where participants tackled practical tasks based on real cyber incidents, and a panel discussion.
Among the speakers at the panel discussion, which was themed “Employment Prospects in Cybersecurity: Challenges and New Horizons,” was Serhiy Denysenko, Executive Director of CyberLab. He emphasized that cybersecurity specialists are needed not only in the public sector but also in business, including sectors like agricultural sector and industry. He also stressed the importance of continuing and expanding such programs by involving more lecturers and students.
The event concluded with an award ceremony for the participants.
We are confident that the implementation of such programs positively impacts the development of our country in the field of cybersecurity.
