Scientific-Practical Seminar “Current Issues in Computer and Telecommunication Research and Their Solutions”

On October 5-6, 2023, a scientific-practical seminar on “Current Issues in Computer and Telecommunication Research and Ways to Address Them” was held at the Chernivtsi Scientific and Forensic Expertise Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The purpose of the event was to identify problematic issues and solutions during the execution of computer and telecommunications expertise, including:

  • Exchange of best practices.
  • Introduction to new methods and software products.
  • Familiarization with the current state of regulatory and legal framework in the field.

During the seminar, participants shared their own experiences and attended presentations by leading experts regarding the practical aspects of conducting computer-technical research on non-disseminated types of objects, such as digital information carriers, such as damaged and locked mobile devices, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), and smartwatches.

CyberLab employees also took part in the scientific-practical seminar. Grigoriy Bendovskiy delivered a presentation on “Problematic Issues and Proposals for Methodological Support of Computer-Technical Research.” Olexander Yefimov presented on “Features of Investigating Damaged Mobile Devices,” and Mykola Sergienko discussed “Some Aspects of Examination and Data Extraction from Mobile Devices in ‘Field’ Conditions.”

This event contributed to the professional development and further knowledge enhancement of the experts in the topics presented by the participants.
